Review:
This is a really nice stock. If you really want to be able to use your sights a lot, try to grab a buttplate for your CO2 bottle instead.
With a flatline installed, this makes the gun pretty long and gives it a 'Galil-esque' look; you might need to play around with the hex nuts and bolts to get it fitting nice and tight.
This stock also extends, making your marker stupidly long, I'd recommend against it unless there are young newbs around who might gawp. :D
I found myself folding the stock away a lot. I'm quite a mobile player in general, but sometimes a game does call for me to snake and it's nice to fold it out and shoulder this badboy up.
I also prefer this to the CAR stocks because despite taking a little bit of practice and not being very intuitive at first, it IS actually possible to sight up with this on... but you have to have a close-profile mask and tilt your head a bit more. (I use V-Force Armor) The CAR stocks I've used are positioned way too high, but this drops a little bit :)
Conclusion:
Excellent stock if you can get it at a reasonable price, but be mindful of your playing style. If you're quite a forward-moving player, it's probably not a great to have any stock...
Stock ION, Pure Energy 48cu 3000psi, Empire reloader. I also own a 98 custom with a 12" JJ ceramic, BT folding stock, 14 oz CO2 and a remote coil.
Strengths:
-Looks awesome
-Folding
-Adjustable length
Weaknesses:
-Makes it impossible to use the sight.
-Rattles a little
Review:
This is a wonderful upgrade for your 98 Custom, it looks cool, makes your gun alot lighter (if you're using a remote coil) while still keeping it stable. the only downside is that this makes it impossible to use the sight unless it's folded against the side of the gun or if you're using a scope. Other than that I had no problems with it, although it was a bit pricey for me but I live in canada so the price is higher than in the states.
Conclusion:
A great stock, I would definitely recommend this stock espescially for someone who plays woodsball/scenario but it can also be made compact by folding so it can also be used by speed ball players.
Tippmann 98 Custon
Smart Parts All American 14"
ACI Bulldog III Air System
Viewloader Revolution Hopper
Daisy Red Dot Sight
Daisy 4X Scope
BT Folding Stock
Strengths:
Easy installation, foldable, lightweight, makes you look like a sniper, good price
Weaknesses:
Nothing major at all...rattles slightly, costs about $50
Review:
When I looked for a stock, I started out with the BT Car Stock, but the problem with that is it costs around $70, and can't be folded like the folding stock. A folding stock is almost essential if you have a scope, since you can't get your eye up to it if you have a car stock.
From the start I have been very impressed with the quality of the BT folding stock. It attached easily to my gun, is very sturdy, and the folding system makes it easy to get out of the way when I'm playing speedball. It really does steady your gun, and can be adjusted to different lengths.
And the reason everybody buys stocks...it looks awesome. Not as cool as a car stock, but the price and folding function make it a better buy in my opinion.
There are really no major defects with the stock. It doesn't always lock in completely when unfolded, so it rattles just slightly, and sometimes the screw comes loose, so the length will change. Lastly, depending on your preference, you may want a remote coil to get your air/CO2 tank out of the way. But overall it is a very simple and effective addition to the gun.
Conclusion:
If you own a tippmann, buy it. It is very versitile, and does its job. Unlike a lot of 'sniper' products that promise a better game but don't deliver, the folding stock really does work. I've experienced steadier shots, better aiming, and a lot of people want to know where I got it.
