This thing sucks! I literally like the stock barrel on my XTS more than this. Loud as hell, breaks fresh marb 1 out of every 4 shots, bore isn't even round-it's oval, rifling is a joke, crown looks like crap, they use what looks like powder coat to cover up the bad machining, and to top it all off the breach and treads had burrs all over them.
Conclusion:
I somewhat salvaged the barrel, though I don't yet trust it to actually play a game with, by:
1. took the finish off with EZ-off oven cleaner
2. De-burred the breach and threads with a dremel
3. re-crowned the muzzel with a 1" ball bearing and valve
grinding compound
4. tapered the breach to ease the balls in
5. tried to de-bur bore with a cable squegee wrapped in
various grades of steel wool (I don't have a micro hone)
6. polished out all the machining flaws
7. rounded off the sharp edges of the muzzle break(I think
this is what was breaking the most balls)
8. re-finished it with teflon gun finish (the bake-on kind
I think its made by Birchwood Casey)
After all this work I have a huge bore paint lobber with so-so accuracy (but at least it dosen't break as much paint)

this barrel works great on my Stingray II. Very tight pattern and good distance, a HUGE improvement over the stock barrel. I have the 14" version, which is a bit long, but it's great for sticking through bushes, and the overall intimidation factor. The black anodized finish is very durable.
Weaknesses:
This barrel is very particular about the paint it uses. Small bore, high quality paint is a MUST, or you will break a lot. Also, the inside of the barrel was not very smooth. I used some very fine steel wool and auto polishing compound to smooth the rifled edges off, and it greatly improved both the distance and paint breakage. It is also a bit combersome for tight places.
Conclusion:
This is a good barrel for sniper types, and after polishing the inside and getting some small bore paint (Diablo), it has great accuracy and distance. If the field you play on uses medium or big bore stuff, forget it. I would recommend it as a good aftermarket barrel for the Stingray II as long as small bore paint is used.
