Players are constantly looking to shoot more fragile paint. The Ego D.A.R.T. (Dynamic Air Release Technology) Bolt has been designed to help achieve just that. The protruding Diffuser head of this new bolt offers up a cushion of air that strikes the ball across a much larger surface area. By distributing the air blast over this larger area, localised concentrations of force on the ball are greatly reduced, and hence the likelihood of an in-barrel detonation. Not only that, but the protrusion of the bolt face also helps to hold the ball centrally in the feed, not allowing it to role aft. This prevents the partial incursion of a second ball into the breach whilst using the type of force-fed loaders preferred by the majority of players. This helps prevent clipped or crushed paint falling into the breach. A ramped upper face and teardrop detent slots (greatly increasing the working life of the detents) round out the feature list of the new D.A.R.T. Bolt for the Ego.

The Ego D.A.R.T. bolt comes with internals already installed. You need to remove you existing pin which is a simple job. Rotate pin 90 degree’s and pull this will allow you to remove your pin. Now insert the pin into your new bolt (With the big air inlet hole facing down push the pin in from the top). The pin will stop when it reaches the spring-loaded ball bearing. With an allen key, screwdriver or anything similar, push the spring-loaded ball bearing in and put pressure on the pin, which will now slide down. Twist the pin so it locks in place and you’re away.
Product Availability
The Planet Eclipse EGO D.A.R.T. Bolt is older, so while it may be available used and in a few cases new, it is not commonly available anymore.

Strengths: Shoots fragile paint
Makes all paint shoot awesome
Accuracy
Cheaper than Cure Bolt
Weaknesses: Not as small as cure bolt
Review: I had just recieved my dart bolt from pbl and at first glance I was alarmed. The ramped top was off to the side. I soon after learned this was correct. I had been shooting severe storm at the local field with troubles, so I opted for some wal mart paint just to shake things up. The paint was dimpled and didnt break alot but even with the over sized bore it shot like tourny paint (other than not breaking) I chalk up the accuracy to the dart bolt as I only had 2 chops, which I put to the barrel and the dimples. Before my accuracy was pretty good but I would always chop paint and then my accuracy would go down the tubes. Not a problem anymore.
Conclusion: This bolt is awesome. Most ego owners on forums say bolts arent needed cuz they know how to set it up so it wont chop. For the people who just want an out of the box difference and dont want to pay the big $$$ for the cure bolt, i would suggest giving this a try.

soon to come is a lucky board with a 1 of 2 xsf team ramp chip(if anyone has manual for how to turn abs off on one of these i would greatly appreciate it.)
Strengths: No more breaks.

Weaknesses: None so far
Review: I traded my a-bomb for an upped 05 and it had the dart bolt. When i put my finger in the breech its plain to see/feel that the bolt face is alot closer to the ball in the breech. This almost completely eliminates roll back which can lead to chopping. This would also eliminate the need for an adjustable ram cap.

Oh yeah, for those of you saying they decrease the guns efficiency, your wrong. mine gets over 1800 shots of a 68/45 fill.
Conclusion: They are great. If you are having trouble BREAKING paint. Not if you are actually chopping balls in half with the bolt. Be sure to check your detents and hopper speed/batteries before buying another bolt.

Strengths: Lighter then stock bolt
able to shoot any kind of paint without breaks
Weaknesses: Can be made from a lighter material
Review: Ok i've tried the nexus and the stock bolt before i used this one. it doesn't really make a big difference in the amount you shot or distance or what ever. the only thing i notice with this bolt is that i can shoot high quality marz to low end walmart paint and end up with the same conclusion. with the stock and the nexus i get a few break after the ball leave the barrel but with the D.A.R.T nothing its just like shooting high end paint.
Conclusion: If you play with old paint or just plain old crappy ones get this bolt.
i give this product a 8 only cuz i know theres lighter bolts out there!
and your shooting with an ego! nothing matters anyways people just give up when the refs says "GO GO GO"

Strengths: Shorter, lighter, better looking, flatter trajectory, no breaks
Weaknesses: None that i can find
Review: Well i got this bolt for christmas along with some other ego stuff. it looks way better than the stock in my opinion, is a bit shorter and lighter, ive noticed flatter ball trajectory with it but thats just me, i didnt really have a break problem but this helps even more (always a good thing) i dont know what else to say id definetly recommend it buy it.
Conclusion: My conclusion if your a guy who likes saying how upgraded his gun is and want to squeeze every ounce of performance out of your ego then buy it

Review: Great bolt!!! Never chops or breaks paint. Vast improvement over stock. I have used this bolt with some of the most weak shelled paint including Marballizers, Evil, and Draxxux Midnight without any breaks. Further, I have even used year old Wal-Mart paint stored in my garage through a hot summer and a cold winter with zero breaks.
Conclusion: Buy now and you won't be sorry. Brady's Paintball seems to be the least expensive site. Bout $48.00 with free shipping.

Strengths: Can shoot even the most brittle paint without fear of breaking.
Weaknesses: Price
Slight drop in efficiency
Review: Got the new bolt as a safety, since I am heading to South Korea and am not sure on the quality of paint there. The bolt works as advertised, shot different mixes of paint with no problems (even a couple balls I found rolling around in my trunk that were probably over 6 months old). I never have broken paint in my Ego, and it is a nice feeling to have a safety net. I did notice a slight drop in efficiency, nothing dramatic, but it was there.
Conclusion: All and all a good bolt, keeps my ego happy and mowing. Slight efficiency issues, but nothing major.
