The Bob Long Millenium is older, so while it may be available used and in a few cases new, it is not commonly available anymore.
In recent past I have owned a m98 w/ flatline, autococker sto, shocker, bushmaster, spyder one, spyder se...
And now, i converted all of them into two guns that i use...
a 2k dark angel lcd, and a bob long millenium...
my 2k dark angel lcd... no mods needed... (except a boomstick, intellifeed, and mid-rise feed adapter)
my bl millenium... spyder elcd, aa vigilante, milled out vertical adapter, shocktech low pressure chamber, diamond labs turbo valve, maddmann spring kit, and a dye boomstick.
I honestly can say this gun is way better than an m98 for two reasons... 1) cleaning - so simple 2) gas efficiency - doesn't eat gas like a shocker.
Also way better than any spyder or "clones..."
1) no metal parts - it may be heavy but its not made out of plastic like spyders/clones 2) made in u.s.a. - not made in china... that's why some parts won't fit correctly 3) quality - doesn't fall apart like some of those "fishies" do.. - powerfeed falls off, screws come loosened after a while...
This gun has a few drawbacks... like spyders/clones... some of the internal parts... like the turbo valve... they're good but aftermarket parts are way more efficient... expansion chamber is 4-stage not 6-stage... vertical adapter needs to be milled out to be more efficient...
Also this gun is a tad heavy like an m98 with a 20 oz. co2 tank... but builds strong bones...
If you're the kind that like their guns stock... this is the gun for you... not much to upgrade because most of it is already installed...
Like most guns... stock barrel is basically a hollow tube of metal... this is no different... but is better than most stock barrels (i.e. m98, spyder), but still not that great...
Unlike most spyder (except the se), this gun rarely needs to be upgraded... If you are like me, then change the turbo valve, vertical adapter, and low pressure chamber... for modification...
running nitro... take out the expansion chamber and bottomline... install a good regulator with decent to above average flow rate, a cradle, and a tank... and your set...
you will also need another barrel, i got a boomstick... cosmetically matched with my black gun... and performance is still unmatched...
The cost of the gun in a long-term perspective is better than most... other spyders/clones will almost likely need upgrades after upgrades... this one.. (it took me 6 months, to decide to upgrade...) my m98 almost 2 secs... my spyder... within a blink of an eye....
Quality of this gun is top-notched... its hard to find any gun that's is made better, and is cheaper... bob long did a great job!!!!
In conclusion, I would highly recommend this gun over a spyder se, tl, tl plus, shutter, 2000.... piranhas can't say haven't test-fired one... way better than an m98, or custom....
This gun is awsome I had a M98 that everyone says is the best but it is nothing next to this gun. True it may not have the range of the M98 with the flatline but only a person who is a very good shot or a wuss would stay in the back of a field for a true distance shot.
The bad thing of this product is you need a revolution to keep from breaking balls and of course a new barrel(j&j ceramic) but other than that this gun is a great semi.
Like i said you will need a revy and good paint (proball) Plus a barrel and your ready to take down any Shutter.......
The Bob Long Millennium is the absolute sweetest gun that i have ever used. This isn't really saying much considering i was previously a pirahna man. But don't get me wrong, i have played against some high end guns and still whooped up with this setup.
Only one thing that I've noticed is that this gun chops balls like a b****, you definately need a revvy.
I recommend this gun to anyone who is thinking about getting into some serious competition. with a revolution and a smart parts barrel and a regulator this gun is the best in its class for a great price. it has proven to be worth every penny i have put into it and then some.
this gun is pretty good. it comes with almost everything you need. it has a very light trigger pull and is very quiet. the stock barrel is pretty good too. this gun still doesnt compare to the sweetness of the model 98.
this gun breaks sometimes. its not as reliable as the sweet m98. everything else is pretty good i guess.
overall this gun is pretty good. i recommend it to beginners that are looking for a good gun that already comes uprgraded. if your looking for something a little better for a less expensive price, go with the model 98. that gun is very sweet and never breaks.
Well lets see here. This gun is the best ive plyed w/ so far (except The Dark Angel) Shoots fast, and accurate as a mother. Looks sweet, I always get a ton of questions when I go to my local shop. Durable as all hell, after a day of playing in the pouring rain, and ankle high goo mud, all it took was a quick wipe down. Stock Barrel is pretty sweet. Im planning on getting a revvy, but since the recoil shakes it around pretty good, I really dont see the need. Dont use cheat paint if you have a trigger finger on Angel dust. Already has the upgrades. Field strip is cool. Has the Spyders' threads. Makes a cool sound when firing. All around killer gun.
Heavy, but what do expect when its made of billet aluminum. With no set screw in the velocity adjuster, the recoil has a tendencey to loosen the adjuster. You need to make full trigger pulls, in order to shoot fast (which conviently ends in cramped hands). With a 20oz tank it gets SUPER heavy, so I run remote. oh yeah and last, the 3 hoppers I have none of them fit in the collar, I ALWAYS have to tape it up. Thats it
This is the best gun Ive owned. Im planning on using it for a long time. The only other gun Id get would be the BL Intimidator. Im seriously pleased with the quality, durability, and performance. Take the millenium over a Spyder, Im not knocking Spyder. Cant wait to get the Boo Ya E-Grip. This gun is SAWEET!!!
This gun is absolutely the best gun for $200. When you compare this gun to all the other Spyders and Spyder clones on the market, the Millenium has by far the most features out of all. Sure, the stock barrel still needs to be changed (I use my SP 16" All American from my Spyder SE), but which gun doesn't? This gun has a vertical feed, all standardized parts, a great gripping expansion chamber, and a very high quality finish. Now, I am not going to compare this gun to a Cocker or a Shocker or any of the other high priced guns, but again, for $200, this is the only way to go.
For an extra $20, you can also pick up a Pyscho Ballistics drop forward that will make your Bob Long really sweet.
Bad? If you consider that you probably wont be buying to many upgrades for this gun to be bad, then I guess that would be the only weak point.
I would definitely recommend this gun to anyone who is in the market for a $200 gun. It performs very well stock, but since I've always had Spyders, I was able to salvage parts from my older SE. I've upgraded my Millenium with a Psycho Ballistics drop forward, a 16" SP All American, a Air America Vigilante high pressure Reg, and a ACI 91ci Bulldog.
This gun is sweet. Maybe I'm just lucky, but I haven't had a ball break in over 2 cases of paint.
When i picked this gun up i was amazed by how well it was made. When i gassed it up and filled it with some team colors, it was heaven. So acurate it wasnt even funny. It is so easy to feild strip, it is great. The stock barrel is also a 75 dollar barrel.
i dont reccomend using cheap paint in this gun
BUY THIS GUN. you will not be dissapointed in any area. Make sure if u like the double trigger that the place u are buying form had double triggers. Also this gun is already set up for low pressure.
The one thing that stands out for me on this gun is that since i bought it I havent choped a single ball(thanks to the vertical feed) Add nitro and a good barrel(J&J cermaic)and your ready to go with the big boys.
The only thing I can think of is that the best part of buying a gun is upgrading it... but with this gun you cant do too much...Bob's allready done that for you.
Well being that I sell guns for a living(888-paintball) I would recoumend this gun to any one looking for a great gun at a great price!! Now that they have the new electronic 45 frames...why not? Run with the big boys..at a little guy price!
It has an extremely light and fast trigger pull with the double trigger, which allows you to keep up with the electronic markers. It comes almost fully upgraded except for the barrel. I like the vertical feed alot because the VL revolution fits it great.
This gun is not set up for cheap paint,(BRASS EAGLE will not work),it will chop balls and makes a hard mess to get out of your gun. Also, the stock barrel isnt the greatest and the vertical feed dosent allow you to have a scope but the fast rate of fire makes up for it.
I think it is well worth the price. It is a good gun if you want something that will put the tippmans and spiders to shame and yet can also play with the electronics. With a few minor upgrades such as a barrel this is a dead on accurate gun.Over all it is a good gun as long as you use decent paint it should perform great!
First off, all those jokers that have had problems with their guns must have an older version of it, because mine is flawless. No problems here.
I have almost nothing bad to say accept that I really don't like the vertical feed, because it affects your ability to try and aim really well, but with the ROF of this gun you can fire off a few rounds b4 they know where you're at anyway. So it's really no problem. You might want to get an agitating hopper for it or else you might get trigger happy and start chopping paint a little and a barrel upgrade is also a wise decision but it's not really needed right away. I would suggest a Smart Parts All American.
This gun when equiped with a new barrel and an electric hopper can go head to head with a Cocker or a Mag, unless of course they're seriouly tricked out. But what did you expect in the $200-$250 range. It's an all around great gun. Well worth the money spend on it.
