I bought my xts 10 days ago and i am very happy with it.
Has a great feel and is very easy to carry.
very easy to strip and clean, can be striped down completly in about 25 seconds.
can use spyder barrels.
performs great in the field.
Weaknesses:
nothing so far
Conclusion:
great gun!!
today i played with 5 of my friends and i easily had the best performing gun there,my buddy sat out 3 games "working"
on his spyder shutter.
bottom line.....dollar for dollar 1 of the best markers you can find.
Light, Compact, Kinda funky looking (kewlness points), trigger action is light, as a stock gun, it's a good performer. I LOVE the breakdown, unscrew the velocity adjustment block and slide back the slide cover and whalla tear down time.
Weaknesses:
over top ball loader - blocks the sight rail without a riser. THE BALL STOP SUCKS.. too damn finiky while playing.. plastic grips tear up your hands without gloves. stock barrel not so accurate. Not so great spring pressure, I had to turn velocity adjutment all the way in to achieve 280 fps. (shortly fixed by adding a differnt bolt)
Conclusion:
I would suggest upgrading the barrel, adding a set of wrap around rubber grips (i cheated went to local gun shop and bought a set for 6 bucks..) Add a different pressure spring or ajdustment bolt for the velocity adjustment.
I wouldn't compare this to any other gun. For one simple reason, we all shoot a gun for one reason cause we like it. or cause we like what we can do to it. I've done plenty to modify mine, Mine has a new barrel (with silencer - just a toy) i run a n2 system with regulator and expansion cylinder, and a few other mods like trigger job, sight/laser, and a few other little loose items i cant remember, i will say for a LOW END startering level gun ( i paid $140 for mine ) I'D DO IT ALL AGAIN!!! Buy one...
Good rate of fire. Very good accuracy. the stock barrel is really not that bad. its really nice if you get the model with the forgrip. The price is GREAT. Its a really rugged gun that will never give you any problems. It comes with alot of good stuff stock on it. they have a .45 grip, powerfeed, and a great forgrip. I think the best feature is that you can take it apart in about 30 sec.
Weaknesses:
none
Conclusion:
I really like my XTS. I got the Nemisis that came with all the upgrades. I have tricked it out since then. On my gun i have a 9 vlt revy, J&J full tilt barrel set, psyco ballistis drop forward, palmer female stabalizer, and dye sticky grips. I cant wait to get the new upgrade kit from sheridan that has a double trigger and rear cocking
i would recomned this gun to anyone. If you are looking at a spyder or a M98 i would take a serious look at this gun.
Most people that bash this gun havnt even shot it.
Great gun. The gun has a great rate of fire, nice tricker pull and is very easy to carry. The gun really fits into your hands and is very balanced. NO trouble breaking balls and is very accurate, with a barrel upgrade.
Weaknesses:
The stock barrel is pretty sick, but that is the norm with most guns. Upgrade the barrel and you're ready to go.
Conclusion:
I would recommend this gi=un to anyone. The proce on it is very good and it is one of the best guns in it's class. The gun is tough and needs virtually no upgrades outside of the barrel.
