APG is a monthly magazine dedicated to the sport of paintball. It's a magazine for players who want to sharpen their playing skills, as well as for those just getting started in the game. Each month, APG brings you articles on how to play the game, what gear you need, reviews of new paintguns, and more, plus news and commentary on paintball's important issues.

Everything, the ads, stories about games, the CO2 mail, product reviews, fields listed in the back, and everything else.
Weaknesses:
Nothing
Conclusion:
This mag is great and it has a lot of things to read and look at in it. If you dont subscribe to mags then just pick one up at a book store or newsstand.
lots of pics to look at and if your new you can learn all the basics.
Weaknesses:
lame acticles: an example is "woods vs concept". Who cares, i'll play where i want to.
They should focus on more important stuff such as skills and drills to use.
Also it seems that they are afraid to give out a bad review for a marker. Every single review i've ever read has been a good one, now this can't be possible. Show us that you have some balls apg and give a good honest review.
Conclusion:
aside from the many pics to look at apg goes nowhere with their mag. If maybe they stood up and made strong points and views the mag would be fun to read but instead they take money from everyone and have as many ads as possible.
as far as for reviews i think they should have a rating system(and not 5 out of 5 for every gun) and not worry about handing down a bad review.
even tho i'm giving them a bad rating i still like checking out their mag for pics.
The magazine is packed full of articles and news from the field. Good reviews and new product highlights.
Weaknesses:
Most of the time it sounds like it is written by a 10th grader writing a paper for his / her english class. Bad editing. The few writers they have that are any good are good, but they are few and far between.
Conclusion:
It is a good magazine, and has current information. I just can't get past some of the poor editing and bad writing a lot of the time. It is a good magazine to have to get the prices on paintball gear and finde new stores. It could definately use some work.
its not bad, ill give it that. but it does need more articals for ppl like me and other that have been in the sport for a while. MORE TOURNEY STUFF!!!
Weaknesses:
all the "spyder articals in the beginning" and all the other 34834384373 ads
some are ok but to much is to much
Conclusion:
i like this mag it needs its improvements, and i think for someone just comming into paintball its a real help, but it does need more for the already serious player
I just recently bought an issue. It was loaded with articles. It had three reviews, three articles on normal people who play paintball, an article on the deadman's walk, lots of ads which I love to look at, a article for newbies and equipment, and has even a contest to win an impulse, freak barrel system, jersey, and cargos. I think this is one of the best paintball magazine's I have read.
Weaknesses:
I wish it had like a spotlight pro player for each issue. It could have an interview with him/her and have them give tips about equipment and tactics. Also doesn't have a listing of all markers.
Conclusion:
Yes it is worth the cost. I bought it for five dollars. 240 pages of goodness.
It has much more articles on events and equipment than any other magazine.
Yes, I would reccommend it because it is high quality.
APG magazine is a good source for all the new gear because it is filled with advertisements. It has helpfull articles for newbies and a good selection of articles for everyone. The articles range from tactics and tips to gear.
Weaknesses:
There are a lot of ads, which is good, but if you pick it up to read it you may find them to be a bit of a pain.
Conclusion:
This is over5all a great magazine for anyone who is interested in paintball. I get it for about 4.99 and it is deffinitely worth the cost. Compared to other magazines, this would probably get a higher rating from me. I would reccommend it to anyone interested in paintball.
APG draws a lot of advertising dollars, so each issue is a decent paintball supply catalog.
Each issue has newbie articles. As a newbie, it's a great mag to pick up for a few issues, however...
Weaknesses:
... after reading 3-4 issues, the newbie articles are just plain old. There is way too much good information online (for free) to justify buying the magazine.
The gun / equipment reviews suck badly. APG simply refuses to call a spade a spade. Seriously, some of the things that have been reviewed are complete crap, and everyone in the paintball world knows it, and yet the reviews are still positive. I don't know if it's the writers doing this or if the editors water down the criticism. If they ever want more respect, they'll have to grow some nuts and start ripping apart the shoddy stuff.
Conclusion:
Until APG starts doing honest equipment reviews, I will not subscribe. I'll pick up a single issue twice a year just to read the advertisements, but I rely on the net for useful paintball info: Warpig, Ravi's, R.S.P., Tinker's Guild, PBReview, etc.
it has info on everything. tournaments, rec games, tactics and strategies, big games, new guns and gear, and it has great pictures
Weaknesses:
nothing
Conclusion:
i also use the old ones to decorate my walls since its hard to find good paintball posters. i have made a whole mural covering my entire wall with old APG's and it looks sweet. SUBSCRIBE TO IT!!!! THE BEST PAINTBALL MAG IN THE WORLD!!!
