APG is a monthly magazine dedicated to the sport of paintball. It's a magazine for players who want to sharpen their playing skills, as well as for those just getting started in the game. Each month, APG brings you articles on how to play the game, what gear you need, reviews of new paintguns, and more, plus news and commentary on paintball's important issues.
Price is for yearly subscription!
The Action Pursuit Games Magazine is newer, so it should be commonly available, both new and used.
The content stinks as well as the writing style! They have mostly coverage of tourneys (which is a good thing), but then for every good article that lasts about two paragraphs, you'll find about 3 pages of ad's. Picture quality also seems to be an issue, I mean who wants to see potbellied rednecks standing in front of trophies all the time, or grainy shots of some yahoo holding a marker that never gets reviewed (I've noticed the only worthwhile picture is the cover shot, I guess to get you to buy it). On top of all the ads, theres hardly any articles on equipment. To top it off, if by a miracle there are articles on equipment, thier usually so vague you dont know whether to get it or not! In closing; The editors that write up the articles, write them up in such an adolescent manner, with so many mistakes, that you wonder are these guys journalists or just some yahoo's with money that decided to capitalize on the sport I love so much.
It looks nice, and being that theres no other mag out there with equal distribution we paintballers have no choice, but to turn to this mag. Really thier writing stinks as well as thier articles, I couldnt justify paying $5 for this poor excuse for a mag. If you like lots of ads and your under 21 then this mag is for you, if you like informative articles written by competent journalists and good photography, then dont even bother wasting your hard earned money on Action Pursuit Magazine.
I really loved this magazine the first time I read it. I went from reading the "Paintball Magazine" to this and it was a really big change. I really liked all the info on new up-coming equipment, and all the interesting stories on improving your game and different gun info. I learned a lot about the game of paintball after reading APGM. I also liked the length of it. i hate magazines that you wait a month for and only get to read say 90 or 100 pages. But APGM has 200+ pages ever issue.
I dont really think that I found anything bad about.
The price is reasonable, the info is great, and I love reading it. I think that this is a magazine that everyone would enjoy reading.
Well it's got tactical tips and nice coverage of senarios and tourneys, great for newbies who need to find a local feild or something, i like the young guns section.
Honestly, this magizine isn't very good. I hate to break it to long time readers but almost always the rewiews are fake, that's y we have this kickin site. They even give BE products good rateings, I mean come on! IE in the impulse review, they don't even mention the sloppy trigger on the models that were known for them,
These guys should be thanked for helping paintball but i would only read this again if i got a subscription as a gift, save your money and get upgrades
