This book is great! I am a fairly new player but I still know a little about paintball. After reading this book, I am a regular paintball genius. Well maybe not that far but I know a lot more than I did before.
I haven't found a thing wrong with it yet.
If I had a choice between a subscription to a top paintball magazine and this book, I would chose this book because it teaches a lot. I would recommend this book to anyone.
It is a great book. Tons of pictures. Lots of in-depth stuff. They tell you everything you ever wanted to know about some guns like the Angel, Shocker, and model 98 and how to clean them. It interviews lots of world class players and talks about tournaments and how to become a better player.
It is a great book for a newbie. It will teach you everthing you ever wanted to know about paintball.
Great book! I read it as a newbie and between this and some guys on the PPOG website (thanks guys!) I know pretty much all I need to about the sport. It tells you how to take bunkers, and about the actual physics of the sport. I learned everything about decompression and pressure from this book. For those of you who think a book can't make you a better player...You're probably right. But it does help to know about the science of the sport.
There was one thing about this book that I didn't like. They focus a lot on tournament fields and stuff. They don't really talk about tips for games in the woods. They talk about the different types of cover and all, but I feel they didn't go in depth about what to do in the woods.
Great book. I would recommend this book to anyone! They have interviews with the maker of the angel, the shocker, and some sniper guy (chuck stoner i think). The book is up in my room right now, I was just reading it last night. My dad is just now getting interested in paintball, and he reads it to learn the do's and don'ts of the sport. Great book, they give tips on accuracy, range, communication, angles, gun stuff, and even stretching drills! Not just technical with pneumatics and stuff, but also stuff about technique and performance tips. They also explain different types of setup and what gear you should by, depending on what kinda player you are.
