Review:
I had to do a slight mod to one side of mine.
I carved a corner into the right-side detent to match the angle that meets the piece that houses the eyes, since that second breech piece prevented the detent from sliding freely.
The left-side detent is fine. The problem is how the breech itself was milled - it's uneven. We can blame The Matrix Center for that or whoever they get their eye-compatible Matrix breeches from.
Anyway, on to the review.
Specs:
- Generation E Matrix LCD w/ eyes
- Tadao 1.1 board w/ Musashi 3 chip
- - Debounce = 5, Dwell = 15 ms, Loader Delay = 2 (fastest is 1)
- - NXL/PSP mode (ramping kicks in on 4th trigger pull, 15 bps max)
- stock Halo B (didn't test with the Egg; didn't see the point)
- Karnage Bite (recball grade paint)
- velocity 270-280 fps
Platinum performance. I breezed through 2 pods and not a single bind-up, chop, break, double-feed or blowout.
Conclusion:
Seems like more & more people are interested in the older Trixes (and i'm seeing them more & more, too). Now they've finally got detents available without replacing the breech!
