Overview:
Not for the meek. The IRON-HORSE is a fully loaded, combat ready, scenario game machine! Built stock with the too good to be true BT-M16 Apex barrel, you will have unrivaled shot range, trajectory, and shot choice. The Apex barrel system is designed to put a back spin on the ball as it leaves the barrel, literally maximizing the energy on the shot, and giving you more distance than any stock barrel on the market. The icing on the cake? You can adjust the amount of backspin you put-on, turn it all the way on-or off, and even turn the barrel tip sideways and up-side down to give you curved shots that your opponents will never see coming!

The Iron-Horse also features a rapid fire double trigger, retractable bi-pod, raised sight rail, and the collapsible BT Car Stock. No one else even comes close!
Product Availability
The BT Paintball Design BT-4 Iron Horse is newer, so it should be commonly available, both new and used.

Marker Setup: bt 4 iron horse, response trigger. rip clip,2x6 by32 tactical scope, carry handle mount combined with 7/8 offset mount, safari tac sling, rocket cock 2,flurry vest, remote coil, pull through squeege
Recommended
Upgrades:
rip clip, response trigger,2x6 by 32 tactical scope, wich requires carry handle mount combined with 7/8 offset mount,(to see through it with mask and clear common hoppers) rocket cock 2,safari tac sling, vertical remote setup, if no vertical remote then expansion chamber, high quality pull through squeege, good quality paintballs!
Strengths: Apex barrel, slide away feed neck, incredibly quick cycle, military looks are very intimidating.
Weaknesses: Cant see through sights with mask on.
Review: This overall is an absolutely awesome gun, i love it for many reasons that only this gun offers, upgradeabilty is top notch, acuraccy and distance with apex barrel is awesome, the trick shots are something you have to practice, its hard to shoot what u cant see(around objects, corners) but with some practice u can have it down, also dont buy cheap paintballs they will ruin you're expierence of this gun,the rubber foot that creates the back spin will break cheap balls(rps big balls work flawlessly or any consistently hard ball), the rip clip is great ,it only cycles when the gun fires, and clears the sight line a little better than regular hoppers, gun accepts response trigger for tippmann 98 and rocket cock, both recomended upgrades, overall this gun has the ability to put an ambitious player on top at the field. Also the velocity myth is just that a myth, i adjusted my velocity several times with no adverse affects, and have never broken a ball yet, over 8,000 rounds so far! at an average 1200 rounds per 20 oz co2 tank stock.
Conclusion: This gun is a 10 out of 10 great gun for a good price.

Tippmann 98 Custom- BT-4 Ironhorse is waayyyy better
Marker Setup: BT-4 Ironhorse with E-Grip installed

Recommended
Upgrades:
E-grip if you have the money
Electronic hopper with or without E-Grip
Strengths: Long Range(Apex)
Looks Cool
Shoots Fast(E-Grip)
Feels Good
Weaknesses: Don't touch velocity!!
Review: This gun is amazing. The apex does alot and i've heard alot of people say that apex is a waste of money, it's not. It does what it says. I suggest getting the E-Grip installed as it helps out alot, get a fast hopper to keep up. You may want to switch to compressed ar too. Now for the gun itself, It has a very comfortable feel to it you may think it's going to be heavy but when you pick it up it's not at all. The gun is very stable with the foregrip and bi-pod. Do NOT touch the velocity screw as the gun will chop balls every shot, and i found out the hard way (right in the middle of a game it started acting up).
Conclusion: The BT-4 Ironhorse is an awesome gun and is very comfortable. The Apex makes it that much better. May not be for everyone as it is a little big. If buying this magnificent marker install the E-Grip. All in all it's a great gun. So buy it

Tippmann m98 and it's not even close to the BT 4's add on's
Marker Setup: BT 4 Iron-horse (sweet gun all by it self)
Apex barrel (the coolest barrel ever. It's not for everyone but everyone should try it a few times.)
Full dress up kit (Heavy duty car. stock, M4A1 carry handle,F.O.G. M4A1 foregrip w/2 rails.)
Rufus Dawg Front dolt and power tube (best of the best)
Dead on Rocket cocker 2 (keep dirt out of your gun!)
Bi-pod (work good for a stand so you don't have to set your gun in th dirt)
front downward grip (helps you hold the gun i always put it on the F.O.G. M4A1 foregrip for a real feel.)
M4A1 2 point harness (Good for long games)
30mm Red dot site
Laser pointer

Recommended
Upgrades:
EVERYONE AS SOON AS YOU GET THE BT OR ANY TIPPMANN POLISH THE INTERNALS! not the bolt or anything but the inside of the gun, get some steal wool and polish it tel' the inside looks like chrome!!! the guns efficiency will go up 100% when i first got the BT i could shoot 600 - 800 rounds after polishing i can shoot a case and a half

Rufus Dawg Front bolt and power tube ( I wish the power tube was metal but when or if it breaks I'll get the DEAD ON 98C PRO-SEAL POWERTUBE and cut the groves it needs for the front bolt to slide all the way back because the Rufus Dawg Front dolt is key for the best ball performance and the DEAD ON 98C PRO-SEAL POWERTUBE gives you max air pressure, best of both worlds.
With some small modification i got the Dead on Rocket cocker 2 to fix the BT 4 you just have to sand the bottom screw hole off a little at a time tell it fits snug.
EXPANSION CHAMBER (if you use C02)
30mm Red dot site
Laser pointer

Strengths: Read review.
Weaknesses: Read review.
Review: Pro's

Price (I got it for $330)
Range (think you Apex)
The feel (with a full 9 oz. tank it weighs 8 lb like a real M4A1! and three 1/2 pounds trigger pull just like a M4A1!)
fits most M 98 and C 98 mods
and fits most A5 mods
It fits almost all barrel threads
refashioned feed neck

I got it for $330. if you buy it part for part.

apex $100
car. stock $70
M4A1 carry handle $70
F.O.G. M4A1 foregrip w/2 rails $100
stock BT 4 $130
Bi-pob $60
M4A1 2 point harness $25
front downward grip $35

That's over $600 after tax

The body is a 98 with 3/4'' rails top and bottom and a removable front grip. All the internals are the same as a C98 except the Duel ball detent can be flipped over when one side breaks. It fits almost all barrel threads. The refashioned feed neck slides on the 3/4'' rail so no more wobbling hoppers like the 98. When you need to work on your gun slide the neck back with the hopper still on it and there is no more dropping balls everywhere. response trigger. I would get a halo hopper to keep up. The apex barrel is the best hands down. Mil-sim look and feel.

Con's

Heavy (if you want a light gun buy a speed ball gun)
open bolt (Also it keeps snagging on my ghillie)

I fixed the open bolt but why do they make it where sand can go right in.
get a Dead on Rocket cocker 2 to fix the BT 4 you just have to sand the bottom screw hole off a little at a time til it fits snug.

Conclusion: If you want the best mil-sim gun on the market with lots of mods get this gun.
the only kink in the gun i fixed with some ingenuity. I haven't chopped a ball yet!
i give it a ten out of ten because it's everything i need and can change for what ever i need it for. the apex barrel at 300 fps WILL break balls at a 100 yards!
It's a great Gun
