Smart Parts Q-Lock Ion: while not as sturdy, the clamping function was much more secure.
Proto Matrix Rail '09 stock Clamping Feedneck: better looking, much sturdier and more secure, but the twist screw was very difficult to use with big fingers.

Review:
While the construction of this feedneck is pretty solid, and the clamp is easy to use, the mouth is simply too wide to accommodate some loaders. Even at the tightest point, I was unable to hold an Evo3 at all, and my Dye Rotor would swing around though it didn't pop out. I tried the O-ring trick around the neck of my loader, but the teeth inside the mouth of the feed protruded too far to get the O-rings down inside the neck once on the loader.
I was able to get one for a really good price, but since it won't hold any of my loaders I ended up wasting my money. Even though it was a "low-rise," it added almost a half-inch compared to the PMR's stock neck.
Conclusion:
Might make a good feedneck for people with large loader necks, or who like a little more rise. But people with loaders like Rotors or Evos definitely won't be able to use this product.

I noticed that a guy a few reviews above me said that it held his eggy very well. It kept my hopper in place which is true BUT i could easily spin my eggy while in the tightened feedneck, i only used it once before it got stripped on the first game i played with it but thats my fault since i shouldve used loctite on the threads.
Halo's feedtubes would fit perfect since the feedtube is much wider than the eggy feedtube, when tightened the feedneck actually only has a grip on the top of the feedneck since it only tightens the top.
Conclusion:
Overall i think it is a very good feedneck, its light and sexy haha. But i think the insides of the feedneck could be knurled so that it could get a good grip on Eggy's.

What can I say, it's a feedneck. It clamps, and it does a great job of it too. And it comes with some fancy-pants stickers, woo-hoo! If you truly are an XSV fan than you need this feedneck. Make Greg Hastings and the rest of the crew proud, buy it!

After destorying my stock neck to get this one on i'm really happy with it.
It clamps my Evo3 perfectly and it hasn't moved yet
It's real easy to use and it goes in perfectly into the Ion body
What i really like about it the most is the height. For a feedneck it's really small and lowers the height which can make a difference. Compared to the Ion's stock which is horriable this is a great investiment in a great gun

I got this for my EVO, after the dude at APD said that they take the same feednecks as the ION's. I am so lucky that I chose this product over the Shockteck one. It is a very lo-rise, and my apache fits right on it like a glove.
Conclusion:
Buy it for your ION, and buy it for your Piranah EVO

First off, I got this because the stock feedneck on my ION was horrible as all get out! The XSV clamping feedneck is in my opinion the best feedneck made. It's very easy to adjust but it holds your hopper like no other. The finish on the feedneck is pretty awesome too. My friend has a Q-lock and this kicks it's arse!
Conclusion:
I recommend this to anyone who wants a really sweet alternative to a Q-lock.
Really good and cheap feedneck for ion and icd owners. It comes in different colors and does a real good job at clamping your hopper. But because its made by xsv it should have xsv on it. Also it comes with free xsv stickers in the package. Buy it you wont be disapointed.
