A much lighter version of the boomstick. Still the same 2 piece design, but all aluminum.

Very good...I bought a spyder threaded one for my icon...But then i bought an blue autococker...So i just bought a blue back off of ebay for only $35.....Cause its sooooo good...Lol...Its hard to explain how good it is...its very light!!! You wont need a squeegie for this because it only breaks balls once in a blue moon....But if it does break one, then it shoots right through it like nothing happend...

Strengths:

Weaknesses:
Un-cute....not the best looking barrel
Review:
Great barrel.....
DYE hones their barrels to a 6 micron finish....very, very smooth honing....not polished like other barrel manufactureres.
When you put the 2 pieces together and look thru the barrel you can't see where the pieces meet....very precision fit.
Accuracy.......very accurate..@ 80ft I hit a small tree 10 out ot 10 shots
Quiet.............fairly quiet.....good porting helps out with reducing noise
Weight..........real light in weight.....about half of a stock barrel
Qualtiy..........can't stress this one enough....best fit of any barrel I've seen
Quite a few of the Pros, who are not using Shockers/Impulses, use this and the Boomstick barrels......they work!
I have a .688 and a .694 bore size barrels for the Ego and a .688 for the Ion
Conclusion:
Can't go wrong with this barrel for you gun....one of the best on the market today.

Dye Excel barrel- Ultralite barrel is much more accurate
Empire Twister- I liked the Twister but had to get the Ultralite when i tried it out
stock barrel- no comparison
any paint, you can even use wal-mart paint and im fairly sure that you will be satisfied
Strengths:
-light weight
-EXTREMELY accurate!
-good distance
-looks good
Weaknesses:
Tends to scratch fairly easily, but just dont be banging up against anything
Review:
AWESOME BARREL!!!!
It is a really great investment for an A-5 or for any gun. It works extremely well. I have shot well over 2000 paint out of it and have yet to chop a single ball. It is completely worth the $100 bucks that i spent on it. It is lightweight, very accurate, has excellent distance, and is very attractive to top it all off.
Conclusion:
I highly reccommend this barrel for any gun or player.
Dye Autococker Ultralite tricked out, E2, Empire sound activated hopper 4500psi Pure Energy tank .ect....
Recommended Paintballs:
marbs and larger bore paint. DO NOT USE SMALL BORE PAINT
Strengths:
(Good, not great accuracy, )good range, incredibly light, looks nice
Weaknesses:
Higher tournament quality paint diameter of the ball is smaller, rolls out.
Review:
This barrel is good, not great. I don't like to see money just rolling out the barrel and wasting air just to reload the gun. Nor do I like to see someone I could take out easily with one shot, pull the trigger and see nothing hit him. By the time the gun reloads he is already running for cover. If you snap a ball through it you have to clean it immediatly. You can't keep playing on because it will only get worse. Also as expected of any aluminum barrel, be careful it will scratch.
I do like the good accuracy of the barrel but it is not exactly a sniper barrel, so don't expect to be a back player. I do like the weight of it. Yes, it is a noticable difference. It is not loud by any means either which is somewhat important. Looks great on my gun.
Referring to my paint to bore problem I've heard I need to get a different back or I will get a SS Freak kit to take care of it. Do they sell different backs for the ultralite??? your advice is welcome.
Conclusion:
Get it but be aware of the tendencies. "I'd give it an 8.5 out of 10"

Wen i first started buildin my custom gun...the first thing that i wanted was a great barrel, so i did some research and i found that the dyes have a greap reputation, so i got the ultralite. i was amazed wen i first shot my gun wit theis barrel, it was 10X better that the J&Js the prgressivs and whisper barrels, it made my gun shoot like ball on ball
Conclusion:
i wood definetally get this barrel, iv shot freaks, and many other top barrels and this one is the best...BY FAR

Marker Setup:
Dye Matrix 2005
Halo B w/Rip Drive and Victory Board
Pure Energy 68/4500
Stock Dye Ultralite
Dye 05 C5 Barrel Sock
Dye 05 C5 Rhino Cover
All parts where applicable are in blue to match my marker.
Recommended Paintballs:
I've been shooting proto dart, and Chronic with excellent results.
Strengths:
The weight. The name says it all "UltraLite". Accuracy.
Weaknesses:
None really. You pay for what you get. So the price isn’t an issue.
Review:
This barrel is everything you could want. Two pieces for modulation. You can change out the backs for different bore sizes. You can change the fronts for different lengths. Easily anodized due the aluminum material. Accuracy is a big factor if not the main factor. With good paint, you get very tight groupings on your opponents. The look of a DYE barrel is very distinct. You get the flawless milling and very sleek look with your purchase. If you look at the $100 price tag, you only need to pay it once. For all that the barrel give you, the price shouldn't even bother you.
Conclusion:
If you need a barrel, please consider the UltraLite. For a $100 investment, you get perfection. Other barrels are good, but for the edge above the rest, the UltraLite is what you desire.

Strengths:
Accuracy, quiet, chops are easy to clean out.
Weaknesses:
Price maybe. Depends if you want to buy it.
Review:
I have used tons of barrels. Lots are good lots are bad. But I love the ultralight because it adds some weight to the front end but it is still light. Its accurate and quiet. I like stifi's but they are expensive and dont work well in the cold. These work anywhere and are just sweet looking. I reccomend this barrel to anyone.

*pros*
basically this is a great barrel, probably one of the best out there and it shows when your playing, not by the price. My cocker was pretty loud with the stock barrel but the ul made it way quiter, so quite that i dont even really notice the noise unless im shooting like a maniac lol....which can be good if you want to shoot around your neighborhood. Its also made of aluminum which makes it light weight, so take a few ounces or what not off of ure gun weight.
*cons*
The price of this barrel did set me back a bit. I was planning on buying a proto barrel but did some research and bought the ultralite. Since a barrel is one of the best upgrades you can get for a gun i wanted to make sure i was ging to get a quality product so i had to fork over the big bucks. One more con i have is sometimes when you need to clean your barrel out on the field the 2 pieces dont want to come off with each other, but the only way i can think of solving this (or what i did) is either have your hands dry or take something like a rag and take it off that way...im pretty sure that only happened to me cause my hands were so moist i couldnt grasp anything.
Conclusion:
My final recommendation is to buy this barrel if you can afford it, if you can afford this barrel and have money afterwards to buy other things then this is your barrel but if you cant afford it there are plenty of other barrels that can get the job done...Im biased but i say this barrel gets the job done better then any other barrel out there!
