- VERY fast up to 15bps
- mouse click trig pull
- comes with a good grip
- comfortable
- great in appearance
- batteries last a long time without needing recharge if u take care of them
- heavy which centres the weight to the centre of your gun
Weaknesses:
- absolutely nothing im aware of
Conclusion:
one of the best upgrades to any fishy. It's not that expensive and it gives results. I got mine today and i love it already. Some of the bad ppl have said i either havent experienced or think are actually good, ie the weight.
This is the best addition ive made to my gun and I'm glad i got it. GREAT INVESTMENT.
Both me and my friend have this trig (cept he has the spyder version) and we can shoot faster then one of my friends with a cocker and another who's dad owns an angel)
I've fired standard Piranhas, a BBT by Tribal, and a more recent version of the Boo-Yaah' frame, if you're looking for a good electronic experience, you're gonna drop loads of cash, but the differences are notable.
Marker Setup:
Piranha Pro, pmi cradle, nitro, microline, 12v rev w x-board
Strengths:
This product gives quite a superior rate of fire and trigger pull to the prianha, and has several modes (see other reviews for details). It comes stock with a tourney lock, which restricst the frame to semi and safe modes. Mine has also had a SWEET trigger job on it, removing the extra mm or two pull, good for increasing rates of fire. The trigger guard is removable, however I don't plan on using this option. Also comes stock with a small rechargable battery and car charger, both of which are junk, so I discarded them. Problems after installation are easily fixable by a knowledgable store owner or airsmith, and are few and far between.
Weaknesses:
Some problems include the rechargable 9v battery and charger included in the base package, which are junk: you are better off just picking up a new duracel or energizer before you play. Another downside to the Boo-Yaah' is the fact that you have to remove your battery after play, as the frame never completely shuts down, so keeps pulling a small charge from the battery, a pain for people who play once a week, but easily solved with a bit of care. The butttons and innards are quite sensitive, and a fraction of a turn to one allen screw in the board from normal wear and tare can lead to a day of odd problems. The frame is set by 2 small set screws next to the seer, and must be perfect or the seer will not catch the hammer when recocking. Lastly, this frame is quite hard on the hammer, as a normal semi is not designed for such high rates of fire, however this problem is easy to spot and reativly inexpensive to fix.
Conclusion:
A solid upgrade for those who can spare $200 to upgrade their current gun easier than $900 for a regular semi. If you have a considerate and reputable dealer, the problems should be a non-event, as someone with a working knowledge of markers and their internals should be able to spot them as they arise and direct you toward the fix.
This product truly lives up to the hype i have been reading about. the firepower produced by this frame is mazing i took it out on the field two days after i got it and i took out 2 cockers and 1 shocker with little effort. in short this gives you an edge right out of the box. puts out a great tight pattern too. my trigger pull is less than an inch! its great for speedball and for spray and pray! well worth the money.
Weaknesses:
nothing really except adds alittle extra weight to the gun.
Conclusion:
i very much recommend this product to piranha owners its very much worth the money. plus it doubles the value of your gun! theres nothing like it on the market for piranha owners. but shop around and find a good deal first. i got mine for $217.95 total when its usualy 250$ with out tax so look around.
i think this product is great for pirahna owners who want to have a higher quality electric gun without paying a super high price. i like having almost all the features of angels.
Weaknesses:
there is only one bad thing i can think of about this product. that is that when your friends ask you to play on short notice you cant because the handle is not cahrged up. because even when the handle is off it wastes some of the battery and eventually all of it. also the "ram-air" chambers have trouble keepinf up with the fast rate of fire and i recommend a regular one
Conclusion:
even though it is hard to always use the handle because of the battery and short notice i still think it is a great asset to any compatible gun and if you have the money i recomend getting one if you want a very useful upgrade.
This is a great addition to an already great gun. I put the ELCD on my STS G1 and it works great. This will outshoot your hopper. Very easy to install and use. I was able to shoot a good pattern right out of the box. Great short trigger pull.
Weaknesses:
The battery is a pain to access, you have to remove 3 screws to remove part of the grip. A bit expensive. The "Ram Air" chamber can't keep up with the gun, I reccomend putting a regular chamber on. You should use a good paint with a thin fill because when you chop a ball the gun will jam because of a thick fill even after cleaning the barrel.
Conclusion:
I actually parted out my Piranha and haven't used the grip in a while. I just put together a Vtl with Flush cocking, Dye 12" barrel and PMI expansion chamber (I shoot air not C02, but I like the feel and I can still use C02 in a pinch). I don't think that I will be using the ELCD much any more because if I want to go electronic I will use my Impulse. The handle is still worth the cost (I sell it for $225) but only if you can afford it, I don't think that it is the best for everyone, but great for maintaining the stock look with great performance.
