The simple 140-round pod is quality made to offer consistently reliable performance in the field. The clear pods allow you to see the stored ammo, and the snap-tight lid is very secure, yet easy to open during those times when every second counts.

Features the SpecOps logo on the lid and side of the pod.
Product Availability
The Special Ops Paintball 140 Round Pod is newer, so it should be commonly available, both new and used.

Review: Right, this thing is a standard pod with the SO logo on it. They're just as easy to use as any other pod (discluding lock lids) and perform equally. Not the highest quality pod ever but it's on par with every other pod like this. I haven't found any problems with them and I've put them through some rough stuff.
Conclusion: It's a regular pod with a cool logo. What else can I say?!?

Dye Lock Lids- Better
Marker Setup: Spyder Electra 05 ACS
VL 200 (waiting for VL Eye Force)
20 oz C02 (getting Air ASAP)
Strengths: Durable
Cheap
Fills up about 3/4 off a standard hopper (200rd)
Weaknesses: Hard to Open w/ only ur thumb.
Review: I got these pods as a free gift for joining Spec Ops Brigade. They are very durable. I have stepped on them and they did not break (I weigh 110 pounds) and I have also thrown them against concrete (testing durablity for review) and only suffered a few scratches. They are cheap at $3. Also, they hold 140 rounds which will fill almost 3/4 of a 200 round hopper, so you are not constantly reloading if you shoot alot of paint. However, the paint capacity is nothing special b/c almost all pods (except for Dye Lock Lids and 100 rd pods) hold 140 rds. They are hard to open with your thumb, esceially when you are under fire and holding your marker in your primary hand (I don't like putting my marker down b/c in case someone decides to bunker me).
Conclusion: I recommend this to anyone who is not going to play alot. If you play alot, just spend $2 more and get the Dye Lock Lids. They are MUCH easier to use and hold 20 more rounds.

Strengths: Easy to open, doesn't open when you don't want it to.
Weaknesses: Nothing really.
Review: These are made from the basic pod model, I've seen countless others under different brands with the exact same style. Works well, I like the little tab to help you open, my Fat Boys have a concave thumb hold to open them which is really annoying.

Good pods, but don't be fooled by the SpecOps logo, they're nothing more than most other basic pods out there. Three dollars is the most I'd pay for them, I get 'em free from the Brigade though, so no complaints...
Conclusion: Good pods.

Review: While the pods dont open when you take them out of your vest or pod pack, they do present another problem... anyway here are the ups and downs of the SpecOps pods.

UPS:
-cheap
-free(if you are a brigade member like me)
-very durable
-dont spill everywhere when you take from pod belt

DOWNS:
-Hard to open with just your thumb alone
-the latter results in a slow reload

Sorry SpecOps, but you didnt get to invent the lock lid first :(

Still a good pod though...I think it is anyway.
Conclusion: Just remember that you wont want to reload right in the middle of a firefight, and youll be fine with these :D

Review: I am a member of SpecOps Brigade, [username-Paintball4Jesus]
and I got this free with my purchase off their site. It really sells for around $3.00,
which is really good considering some are $6.00. Also, they open if you open it,
not when you run or crawl, etc. This is only one of SpecOps great prouducts.
Conclusion: Overall, it is an excellent 'combat-tested' peice of gear, and I would highly
recommend it, whether you are in the SpecOps Brigade or not.
