The Deadlywind Fibur (previously named Wisper) carbon fiber barrels are ultra-lightweight, accurate, and quiet. They are compatible with the Freak(tm) replaceable inserts, so one barrel and a few inserts will do the job of multiple barrels.
Weighing in at an average 46grams (59 grams with insert), they are 2x to 4x lighter than other replaceable insert barrels.
Unlike other carbon fiber barrels, the Wisper barrel is built with a unique 3 layer construction. 2x2 satin Twill external, uni-direction fibers laid up in a strong multi-vector pattern, and then a super slick "Silkfiber" inside that can be safely swabbed. CNC align-bored segment for the insert area, CNC-ported with 3 spiraling rows of ports, and then hand-assembled and quality checked-- You can't get any more accurate.
Already have inserts? Just buy the barrel by itself. Need an insert to go with it? Buy one or go with the 3x inserts and save!

I have used stock cocker barrel, nothing special.
My newest kit, a odium two kit, absolutely love it.
In comparing the carbon fiber barrel, i would say that i like the kit better, i hate inserts.
Marker Setup:
Sunset orange invert mini, virtue board, low rise clamping feed neck, Odium two kit or deadly wind carbon fiber barrel with freak inserts.
Recommended Paintballs:
chronic works well, i think a tougher skin paint is best, i tend to have break with brittle paint but might just be me.
Strengths:
So light
looks like a barrel
quite
accurate
Weaknesses:
to light
If you do break paint, your next 20 balls are going everywhere!
Review:
I paint ball as a kid for 3 years and loved it, i stopped for 4 years and started up again during me senior year of high school.
I play tournament ball and cant say many bad things about the barrel.
It is deadly accurate andeasy on the ears. The fact it uses inserts is both good and bad.
The inserts do in fact help the accuracy but tend to move around more inside!
Overall its a great barrel and i would recommend it to all front players and backs. It is not terribly price for a carbon fiber barrel and made as good as any of them.
Conclusion:
Use different barrels before picking this one.
Find a paint that will work well as it is very weird when it comes to breaking paint.

Review:
Ok this is how im gonna do this review exactly how it happened. I ordered the DT-13 the DW fibur barrel and the Hollow Point all at the same time. It got to my house in 3 days from Texas so very fast shipping. When I opened everything up i was like a lil kid in a candy store :-) Well i went to the local paintball store and got some air and paint. As soon as i Put it all together i couldnt wait. Well I went out side to target practice with it. And it chopped my paint like nothing ever did. And i was wondering why. Well come to find out i had to put a freak insert in. Because their is a Lip in the barrel. So I highly recomend that u purchase one or two of them. I played around with the dwell, chrono and virtue board and then inserted a freak kit insert it. What a Difference it was not chopping up paint. very accurate. The people of deadlywind knew what they were doing but they should have u buy a freak insert so u dont run into this same problem. So all and all great barrel.
Conclusion:
The only reason I give this a 9.0 is due to the problem I had at the begining. But if I had a Freak Insert at the begining it would be 10.0 Hope u enjoy the review.

Strengths:

Weaknesses:
Freak inserts kinda?
a little more harsh on brittle paint
Review:
Before i begin, a previous stated that the freak inserts are loose in the barrel. It was true at the time but deadly wind has fixed this problem and both aluminum and SS freak inserts fit perfectly in the barrels now.
ive had my ego for about 6 mo now and decided to switch my barrel from my cp kit.
I checked pb nation and this web site for a good barrel and then did a lot of research and was still up in the air about what barrel i should get. when i went to my field the following weekend, i found out that my friend had a whisper barrel for a cocker that he let me test. from the first three shots i fired i a huge improvement accuracy and noise. the only problem that i kinda foresaw was that balls broke in the barrel a little bit more, but i was using a very brittle paint. The only barrel ive seen on par w/ this one is the sly kit but since i already had all the freak inserts, ive gone with this one and have been highly impressed w/ it every weekend since.
I dont think this is downfall but some people bash the aluminum freak inserts for increasing/decreasing in bore size with the weather or for being poorly machined but ive yet to see a flaw w/ mine or any other freak kit ive come into contact with.
Conclusion:
Along w/ the sly kit. THIS IS THE BEST BARREL I HAVE EVER USE!!
Dust Black PMR
- Dye Ultralight Frame
- Pure Energy 68/4500 HPA Tank
- Deadly Wind Fibur 14" Barrel
Strengths:
Accurate, Light, SUPER SEXY Looking, PRICE!!!! (Much Cheaper than other barrel kits)
Weaknesses:
Haven't found any yet
Review:
I'm a carbon fiber junkie. Every hobby, I have to have something Carbon fiber on my equipment. It's a sickness. When I began researching the Carbon Fiber Barrels I looked at:
The Pro's of the DW barrel became very apparent. First of all it's cheaper than the other barrel kits by at least $50. Second it's the only one that advertizes being swabbable. The final straw was the inserts. The freak inserts provide 5" barrel sizing vs the 2-3" of the other barrel kits (sly and stiffi). I assume that should provide a more efficient and accurate barrel overall. I haven't tested the other barrels so I can't speak for them but the DW barrel shoots very nice.
I've noticed an improved accuracy over the stock PMR barrel at both short and long ranges. I can't really tell any improved efficiency (I assume it to be negligible).
The best part of this barrel is the way it looks on the marker. Very simple black carbon fiber with two small DW logos on the threaded aluminum insert.
Another plus was shipping. I received mine in 2 days from ordering.
Conclusion:
If you're looking for a carbon fiber barrel, look no further. Price and looks it has the others easily beat.
