This barrel works well for reducing the overall weight and length of your marker for tight, close-quarter games or training scenarios. However, it is not well suited for games that require medium to long-range engagements.
Once this barrel was installed, I was unable to increase my ball velocity (FPS) above 190, even with the velocity screw completely unwound. With the entire barrel being slotted rather than ported, there is little room for gas pressure to build up behind the round, thus causing a significant drop in FPS. Due to this drop, I had to raise my barrel angle to between 30 and 45 degrees to reach the other side of the speedball field.
My shot grouping was about three feet in diameter even at only 50 feet. Grouping was tighter when angling the barrel straight ahead, though this resulted in an effective range of about 30 feet before dropoff. Imagine the range on a Nerf dart gun, and you'll get the idea.
Like most barrels, I could not "shoot through" a break, as the slots were gummed up with paint, causing my shots to curve wildly even at the stated 30-50ft range. A squeegee-style swab was unable to remove the paint, though a flexi-style swab worked well.
Conclusion:
This barrel would be most effectively used for police/military training exercises indoors or for extremely close games. I could also see it used to turn a regular marker into a sidearm/pistol backup. I would definitely advise against this barrel for woodsball or even the majority of speedball games.
