The Rock Regulator works better than the stock regulator because it is smoother and faster. It is also adjustable with out having to take it apart. To adjust the pressure of the regulator just turn the screw at the end of the regulator and you are done.
Product Availability
The Palmers Pursuit Shop Rock Regulator is newer, so it should be commonly available, both new and used.

Strengths:
one of the best things is that it's from palmer's pursuit shop. that says a lot in just a little. palmer gives all his product lifetime warranties, if something happens to go wrong (which is highly unlikely). installation is simple, just removing the old reg and putting on this one. when gassing it up for the first time, turn it down really low beforehand. then turn it up until your cocker works right. adjusting is easy as well. when i had it adjusted to its lowest possible pressure, it stayed stable the whole time. "like a rock" is not just its slogan, it's a description.
Weaknesses:
just a couple little problems: i liked to use my shroud (when i had those ugly brass pneumatics), but once i installed this, it wouldn't fit. shortly after i got new pneumatics and wanted to show them off, so it doesn't matter anymore. but there's always the micro rock. before i said the adjustment is easy. sometimes it's too easy. without air flowing through it, the screw can be adjusted with your finger. so if a newb touches it, he/she could mess up the pressure. a minor inconvenience, but a good reason to shoot them. finally, it's not the prettiest of upgrades. a kapp or dye knob helps.
Conclusion:
it's all about performance, and this is the best of the best. don't hesitate to get one.
This is a great reg! It is very well made and you get great support and a warranty from Palmers Pursuit Shop. It is also very quick and easy to adjust.
Weaknesses:
Bad?
Conclusion:
This is a great reg and I highly reccomend it as one of your first cocker upgrades. Works amazingly well!
It is made by palmer which means you get the tech support and warrenty. Works flawlessly. I have it on my cocker and it makes the cocking pressure lower. This is the same reg used on the freeflow, I love that gun. A key thing needed to trick your cocker out or in my case, get it to work. Same price as ever other reg, but it is still the best.
Weaknesses:
The only bad thing about it is, if it gets screwed, you have to send it out to palmer in California that is no where near where i live.
Conclusion:
It is definentaly worth getting it. It is the top of the line. I think that if you own a cocker you should get this so it works right unlike mine. Now that i think about it, i am going to buy a freeflow, i love that gun. Buy it now, you will love it. it make your cocker work so much better. get chrome. it looks sweet like my black and chrome cocker.
There is everything good about this reg. After the obvious upgrade over the regular stock barrel you should buy this reg for your cocker. I have played with it in for 6 months now, and had no problems with internal perssure at all over all it is a great reg.
Weaknesses:
Nothing
Conclusion:
If you want to stop inconstistancy, and want lower pressur in your cocker buy this Reg!!
It's externally adjustable - so you can use it to lower the cocking pressure of your Autcocker to help prevent ball chops. I noticed an immediate improvement. I've had it on my Autococker for 4 months now and haven't had any problems with it.
Weaknesses:
No complaints.
Conclusion:
I like mine. I think it was worth the money I spent on it.
