The Special Ops Action Ghillie II (Complete) is a lightweight, durable, and comfortable ghillie suit that is specifically designed for today’s paintball sniper. Unlike heavier, less effective ghillie suits, the Action Ghillie II is cool to wear and does not adversely hinder your mobility.

The Action Ghillie II utilizes military-spec, die-cut vinyl leaf that is lightweight, tough and flexible, so it holds up to the rough demands of woodsball and makes no more noise when you’re crawling through the bush than that of regular cammies. The vinyl leafs have proven to be an extremely effective 3D camouflage system, allowing you to gain much closer access to your unfortunate target.

The military-standard leaf vinyl provides a natural profile in the woods, casting shadows and highlights where they tend to fool the eye. The texture of camo leaf blends very well in the forest, brush and desert.

Over 100-square feet of leaf material is provided with the Action Ghillie II, which is also fire retardant, so you don’t have to worry about spraying or applying noxious chemicals to your suit. The Action Ghillie leaf only comes in All-Season, but you can purchase density upgrades to customize the color so it best matches your woodsball environment.
The base material of the Action Ghillie pants and shirt consists of a super-strong, breathable mesh fabric that allows the breeze to blow through so you keep cool and comfortable. The collars and cuffs are wide, knit fabric for maximum comfort and even the pant material is camouflage, and also includes a comfy draw-band waist.

Designed for active players who enjoy the “sniping” aspects of the game, the Action Ghillie II camo system is light, lean, and comfortable. You’ll have no problem jumping up and running if/when an ambush goes south - or charging for the flag if you feel so inclined!

Mask Velcro is Weird

Review: I didn't find any of the other accessories for ghillie from spec ops, so I'll assume this includes the gun rag, mask ghillie, and gloves. Personally I recommend you get those along with the the suit. If you're going to do it in pieces, you'll actually want to go in this order: Mask, Gun Rag, Shirt+Pants, Gloves. The Pants and Shirt will find no complaint from me. The mask ghillie and gun rag come unmade, which isn't much of a problem. My only qualm is that the under material is a yellow-ish color. I mean not huge, but it just bothers me... I painstakingly crafted my mask cover, it definitely took me at least 8 hours of sitting there. Granted if you do it normally, it should take you less than half of that. My method is putting the ties in backwards, so they don't lock, which means you can edit them later, attaching more pieces of leaf later. After that's completed, you can just reverse the ties and cut them. My OCD led me to make sure there was not a single patch of yellow. The velcro on the mask is kind of weird, it gets caught up in the fabric of the cover itself. As an after thought, get some good mask defogger for God's sake. Trust me on this one. Your life will be living Hell if you don't. The gloves are definitely a good touch, even if you don't put ghillie on them, but with that they're that much better.

The effectiveness of all these products is incredible. So this is kind of an embarrassing story for me. During a big game at Canobie Paintball in NH, I ended up behind bush with another guy. Two opposing team members came up from behind. I glanced over in time to see one of them lining up on me. I froze(in a bad way). At any rate, his barrel went right over me to the guy 5 feet behind me. He opened fire and I heard 10 paintballs whiz 6 inches over my head. My teammate called himself out, while the other two quickly stalked away before I could recover. Embarrassing? Yes. But it does prove a point for the ghillie itself. Did I mention I have a bright blue marker? Yup. They didn't see that(under the gun rag) either.

If for nothing else besides aesthetics, this suit looks damn cool. You'll get the respect of 80% of the people on any field. People know that the guys wearing ghillie are the guys who will be there when they least expect it. It looks just as cool as any of the other ghillie suits out there, though may be slightly more expens

The downsides? The leaf tears. It's exactly what it's designed to do I suppose, although if you're hard core crawling, then you're going to get a whole lot of tear that's going to need patching up on the pants and shirt. If that's no objection, just get a density upgrade. It's pretty easy to fix. I would recommend the density upgrade anyway, I grabbed a forest one, it helps give you some extra material when you need it too.

Oh and I can't get the smell out of it from crawling around in the swamp, but that's probably to be expected. I hosed it down and let it dry during the summer, but that didn't quite get the earthy smell out. So I Febreezed it. Don't judge me; what the hell was I supposed to do?
Conclusion: If you're willing to drop the $250 plus for it, go for it. Absolutely. I doubt there's anything so effective out there. It will need a little working, but honestly, you'll have fun doing it. When's it's completed you'll also be quite satisfied.

Review: First time out, knew what the purpose was to a Ghillie, but never knew how great it actually worked. Had to fight the urge to start shooting once I saw the other team... I had 2 member of the other team standing within 3 feet of me as I sat on the ground next to a bush, I was going to open up on them, but there were at least 6 others with them.... My personal mission was to Blow the Base !

This is an out standing Ghillie, no wonder they are always out of stock !

Needless to say.... 2 hours and 10 minutes after leaving my base, I had the enemy base blown with the C.O. and X.O. in there... with 8 other people inside and about 20 people outside waiting for the red team to attack there base sooner or later !

And that was by myself... that is, me and my Invisible cloak of Ghillie.
BTW... I had 2 barrel tags on the way there :o)
Conclusion: Want to try something totally different.... buy this suit, you'll have to fight the urge to open up when you see the enemy, but to hear you heart beating so loud that you think they can hear it when they are just feet from you. Intense !
The only problem I had was dead twigs snagging my pants legs and me draging them, I would have to stop and pull them out carefully.
