Lapco has recently released a M4 Style Magazine for the Tippmann A-5. The placement of this magazine is set closer to the trigger guard giving it the most authentic M4 Magazine look on the market. This magazine is made of a high grade polymer that will not weight you down yet maintains strength and toughness.

Product Availability
The Lapco A5 air through M4 Mag is newer, so it should be commonly available, both new and used.

Review: As soon as my delivery guy put this beast into my hand I lifted it up in the air (I thought it was going to be heavier). As soon as this thing was put on my gun my jaw dropped. It looked amazing! I hit it, threw it and tried to bend it but this thing held strong Thing is a good product and i will be supporting Lapco in the future. Bravo Lapco.
Conclusion: Yes i would recomend this to a friend, I serious. Buy it....... now

Review: Background
Looking to complete my 416 I needed a quality magazine that wouldn't cost an arm and a leg and still look cool. This was really the only magazine that matched what I needed as other magazines sit too far in front of the trigger to look authentic AND they're more expensive.

Inspection
When I received the package I wasn't too surprised, it was loosely packed in a zip-lock bag with everything you need ('cept for allen keys). The instructions are very simple and practically redundant, though it's a nice touch to complete the package anyways.

Installation
Just as I said above, installation is very simple. The magazine replaces the two pushpins around the tombstone as well as the foregrip, though you can actually remove the bracket that attaches to the foregrip nut so you can still use it. Anyways, the magazine just slides over the tombstone and braided steel line and then you feed the attachment screws through and tighten, that's all there is to it.

The one problem that I find with this, though, is that you can't remove the tombstone and trigger frame without complete removal of the Lapco magazine first. It's not much of an issue but it's worth noting.

Field Review
Not much to say here other than it's very tough. The magazine showed no sign of wear after a few games at various locations, and I was not babying it at all. It also doesn't add any noticeable weight to your A-5 which is a HUGE plus on it's part!
Conclusion: I recommend this magazine to anyone looking for the authentic M4 look, or just a really nice magazine. It's cheap compared to the alternatives, very lightweight, and very strong so you know it'll last.

Review: I bought the Lapco mag because it was the most realistic one I saw.
All the other mags I looked at attached in place of the handle, in front of
the triggerguard, and only attached to the one nut.
The Lapco mag, attaches to the body of the marker, and is positioned
in a much more realistic location.
As far as durability, I've dropped it, taken t off multiple times. And other
than scratches, its fine. The bolts have not stripped out or broken.

Conclusion: Go Lapco

Bossman A5 clip add-on, this Lapco mag sites against the trigger guard giving the marker a more realistic look. The bossman mag sits a little further in front of the tombstone on the A5.

Marker Setup: Tippmann A5
Tapco Car Stock
Trinity delrin front bolt
Spec Ops flat-top rail
Bossman Industries M4 barrel furniture
Lapco M4 gas through Magazine
Strengths: Hard Plastic, Easy to install, comes with all the required parts.
Weaknesses: None at this time
Review: TEST REPORT

INSTALLATION:
The installation is very easy, with or without the provided instructions. The Mag installs quickly with the provided 2 bolts as well as the front bolt (which screws into the A5 front handle nut). All screws and bolts come with the Magazine.

LOOKS:
Gives your marker a more realistic look. That's all it's for, it does not provide any function at all for the marker.

DURABILITY:
It feels very solid once installed, I can not attest for it's durability during play as I have only tested the product, but it seems to me that the ABS Plastic that it's made from will not flex or crack under normal playing conditions.

Conclusion: going for a realistic looking M4 conversion on the A5? This add-on will be well worth it in the realm of looks. This is one of the only M4 mags for the A5 that fits over the tombstone and looks like it should be there.
