Availablity and price
****This product is completely avaiable for sale from ICP still, if you want it support them and go to their site and order one.****
Ok for starters I am an adult so this reveiw is for any other oversized kids that play paintball and are looking to either get a mod for their A-5 or want to buy something that looks awesome and won't blend in with all the other M16, MP5, M4, or other milsim guns. I had the money set aside for the complete package: A-5 installed in the B5 shell with the APE rampage board installed and the whole marker set-up to rock out of the box. The guys at ICP hand build everyone of the A-5/B5' that are purchased as a complete. You can save some bucks and by the kit with electronics for less but if you don't have all the time do install everything it is worth every penny to get the complete marker. Another point on price, the cost of the kit in close to what you would pay at OPsGear or RAP4 for shrouds and stocks, not to mention that once your done the kit turns your marker into an E-trigger too. Add it up it equals out. Also the kit and B5 will still accepte all the add-ons the a A-5 will accept (maybe not a butt stock but that would be common sense
First this modification reduces the size or footprint of the original by half. If you ever just wanted a tight set-up that will work for small environmetns such as CQB and will still have the accuracy and distance of a full sized marker then this is the marker for you. It just seems to snap into position everytime you bring it up to shoot. If you do get it you will most likley have to use a remote, some very creative people have mounted tanks to the b5, but for me a remote was the way to go.
Availablity is a weakness, you can't get this anywhere other then the ICP website. Which is easy to use and the owners of the company are the ones manning the site. Yes if you have questions the owners and creators of the B5 will contact you or repsond. They will build your marker to order and if you ask nicely they will even install picatinny rails and triggers for you while they are building the marker, which will take normally about 1 - 2 weeks to build and then ship. The site also has a forum for all owners and potential owners to discuss issues and to discuss future improvements to the marker. Let me tell you I bugged the crap out of them (OCD taking over while I waited to get my marker), Pete politely listened to all my questions and ramblings. Identity Crisis really does customer service right.
Yes definately I would recommend this to anyone looking to dress up their A-5. Is the marker milsim, I guess so, if your idea of milsim is not looking like another mini, timmy, or cocker on the field, but if your looking at this reveiw and are looking at this mod then you probabley dont care. One thing for sure it does look awesome and functional too.
It is nothing like anything i have ever used, but to compare it to anything it would be A-5 with any of the stocks
A-5 flatline,super fly bolt,Car stock,E-Grip,Double trigger,Lightning rod
1.It looks awsome!!!
1.You have to cut eather your gun or the kit.
My A-5 was my first and only paintball gun in fact ive owned 4 of them now, if there is a set up out there ive done it and or tried it out.But all it took was one good look at the gun i knew i had to have one.I placed my order on april 19th and i got it april 23rd so they are fast shippers.I ordered the no electrical kit from out of the box to firing my first shot was about 45 minutes, the longest part was replaceing the wires frim the board to the micro switch.Once i got the body together the feel of the gun was very natural most of the weight was resting on your upper arm and moved well to your shoulder in one motion.Me myself i feel the a remote line into your tombstone seemed to work the best for me.I have a standard hopper for my A-5 i am going to get an offset hopper because the standard hopper was in your main field of veiw.I like how the battery can be changed very easy but just pulling out a push pin.The only reason that i am going to give it a 9 is the cost that is the only thing i could see wrong with it and a 9 still feels a little harsh so im giving it an unoffical 9.8
The kit came with all the bolts needed to put it together it fit together very well with only small modifcation. To tell the truth there was not much i could complain about the kit is very solid ( i was thinking it was going to be some cheap flimsy plastic). It includes very detailed instructions, there customer service comunicates very well.I would highly recomend this company to everyone that has asked me about the gun.
