Until now, paintball players have had to be content getting these tubes with Gen-X harnesses. Now you can purchase them separately and for a terrific price at that. These truly are the toughest tubes we've seen: We've put them on the floor, stood on them, and even bounced up and down a little and they've held perfectly.

The Gen X Global Gen X Global Pods are newer, so they should be commonly available, both new and used. Check out the Places to Buy links below for places to purchase them new.
I've been using these for as long as I've been playing and I like them. Their jet black, so if your playing in the woods the orange/pink/green shell color wont give you away if the enemy manages to get behind you. These seem to be almost indestructible, I've landed flat on my back/ass in the process of a full run, the balls in my hopper broke and part of the hopper got cracked I think, but the pods where fine. In another game, I was in an extremly akward position to play in. Behind a 3 foot tall log that when I was laying down I could not be seen, but my feet where towards the log, so i would have to lay on my back completly to use the cover and not get hit. So I did exactly that. I would sort of lean up and my air tank in the back of my vest and my pods sorted of helped support me, as I would rest most of my weight on them, and then drop down on my back, smashing the pods into the hard ground. I did this several times, and the pods where perfectly fine.
Conclusion:
If you want tough pods, get these. These are sort of expenseive, but well worth it.

Review:
I currently own 2 of these pods and just yesterday one of the springs on one of the pods broke! was a little upset but realised that the spring was not a full necessity and i just realised how strong these pods were! i will continue to use these pods and if i have anymore problems i will let you know.
Conclusion:
I give it a eight because of flimsy springs and lids but other than that they ware a solid pod.
Strong
Tip helps prevent spills
Lid does not pop open in field
Weaknesses:
Lids Break when hit directly
Review:
I buy these due to there availability nice ease of use and many other reasons including the GXG pod caps I have seen masses of colors available People like me who have used Dye pods have moved over to using GXG Pods. The only con is when the lid receives a 10 feet up close shot it's broken but that's why they are affordable. I highly recommend them for use with the following products:
http://www.genxglobalinc.com/SearchResults.asp?Cat=5
However I would also state that you need to replace the plastic clips on these with metal ones.
Conclusion:
The main reasons I guess is availability of the product ie no matter where you play you will find it then secondly quality of it it remarkable. However I'm starting to sound like a salesman.

If you need some pods, go with these. They are cheap in price, and readily available.

Review:
For many years I have played with Fat Boy pods, but the lids are really stiff to open, making them very secure, but it is really hard to find replacements, so I started looking for a quality replacement. I found these pods at my local pro shop. They can take a beating and the lids remain secure. They open easier than my Fat Boys. I now own several of these pods and use them as part of my primary setup.
Conclusion:
Gen X pods are a great product, easy to find and cheaper than my Fat Boys. Buy them.
BT-4 Delta Elite

Review:
Got these the other day, ofter watching a demonstration at my local paintball shop. The guy asked me to stand on one of the pods. I thought it was a dumb idea, I'm 180! So I shugged, put one foot on the pod, and slowly lifted my other. It started to flex, but I continued to lift my other foot unil I was balancing on the pod. I was amazed! I bought a package of 5 for 20 bucks, and then I would have an extra. In hindsight this was dumb, because why do you need an extra of something that doesn't break!
Conclusion:
Excellent pods for woodsball, forget them if your speedball. The lids stay on there pretty tight, and on one of mine I have to use 2 hands it get the lid off. In woodsball, they will take a fall better than you can.
