Scenario Arms G3 Foregrip for the Tippmann X7 Reviews
The Scenario Arms G3 foregrip will allow owners of the Tippmann X7 modify their markers to look like the infamous H&K G3 assault rifle. No other company in the world currently is manufacturing anything even remotely close our this. Our foregrip has a much higher level of detail than typical marker accessories, and can be used with a 12" barrel, though 14" is optimal. Barrels over 14" would begin to make the marker take on a "sniper rifle" look.
Our G3 foregrip is made from extremely durable "aluminum filled plastic polymers" rather than the "glass filled plastic" that current X7 and A5 marker parts are made from. This polymer is able to withstand up to 3 tons of pressure per square inch, making it stronger, and more durable than any plastic accessory being produced for milsim players at the moment.
The Scenario Arms G3 Foregrip for the Tippmann X7 is newer, so it should be commonly available, both new and used.
Magazine's look & construction
Overall look of the kit once finished
Poor workmanship on fore stock
When I first viewed this kit on Scenario Arm's website I knew I wanted my X7 to look like the G3. I ordered it in early January being told it would take 4 weeks to complete and delivered for the new season. As the months ticked by I finally made contact with SA by email in May. I was told there were delays and that my kit would be shipped in the next few weeks. I was offered to have my money returned, but I wanted the G3 kit.
I finally received the kit sometime in June. My first impressions were disappointing. The fore stock is an airsoft part that is combined with the X7 fore stock. The seams where the parts were connected weren't finished professionally. The filler they used was slapped on and not sanded smoothly. The front sight was cracked. The stock was flimsy when I held it. I had to use epoxy resin inside to strengthen the stock. I had the stock painted and sanded by a teammate.
The heavy mag was excellent. It is made completely from metal and is, well, heavy. I was impressed with workmanship that went into this item. It easily attaches on the X7 and removes as easily. The mag sits on the marker and there is very little play when attached. The kit also comes with a rear sight.
Overall the end result cost me extra money to achieve what I felt should have been offered for what SA charges for the G3 kit. The price that SA charges I expected way better workmanship. I don't think I would order anything else from SA until all these issues are addressed. I would rate this overall product a 5/10 out of the box. After all the extra work I put into the kit I am impressed with the look and function of the kit. After the work I put into it I would say 9/10.
5 out of 10
