When I bought it, it seemed like a safe bet. A front grip made by Tippmann should fit the gun perfectly, right? WRONG!!!
First, the instructions provided may as well have been written in a different language because they were useless.
Second, there are holes molded in the grip intended for a tapered head screw. A 98 has regular allen head bolts that don't fit in the tapered recesses.
Third, installing this part required me to alter the part first. When installing, one must remove 2 of the glued in nuts from the bottom half of the receiver. One of the holes in the grip, where the nut is suppose to go, does not have a nut shaped hole.
Forth, there are not longer bolts included with the grip. The instructions said to install using the original bolts, but they are not near long enough. I had to run to the hardware store and buy new bolts.
Lastly, I called Tippmann and Special Ops (where I bought it), and both of them acted like I was speaking a different language. I explained the problems, and they pretty much treated me like an idiot.
