Lower back support
Can be a bit heavy
These are the first real pair of paintballing paints I've used. At the time it was $150 and I had a bit of buyers remorse. But after taking them out at the field, I can honest say it was worth every single penny.
There is so much padding all around I felt my lower half was invincible. The heaviest areas were the side hips and the knees. There is also nice lower back support padding which made my pod pack much more comfortable to carry.
The main pockets also have zippers so you never have to feel paranoid about loosing anything you put in there while playing. Right below each main pocket is narrower mouth pocket for a squeegee or your barrel cover.
Now for what I think is the highlight of the pants: The wonderful ventilation! The pants contain mesh fabric areas(front and back knees, crotch, lower back) that allow for very good airflow. I'm a pretty big guy and I generate a lot of heat while running around but these pants kept my legs cool all day long. And when the wind hits my pants as I'm trying to cool down after a game? Felt like heaven.
Being a big guy, comfort is always a main issue while buying any sort of clothing. But I was wonderfully surprised at how comfortable these pants were. The extra padding and great ventilation made my paintballing experience much more enjoyable as a whole.

Got these pants a little while ago, took them out for their first test run the other day. I love the abundance of pads on these things, especially the ones on the back of the hips and the knees, they make sliding so much less painful. Making the 50 off the break is a breeze in these things, I can just haul ass and hit the ground with impunity while I have them on.
The only complaint I can think of about them is that they're pretty heavy with all the pads, they might get a little hot during summer play, especially if you've got a black pair out in the sun.
I picked up a plaid LTD pair, and I have to say, they're just beautiful. I almost felt bad covering them in dirt from sliding so much and wiping paint off of my gloves onto them.
Overall, these pants do what they're supposed to do and they do it well. The pads are in all the right places, and although I've never noticed the weight during play, they do seem a bit heavy. Not a big deal for me, and I'm a front-man. The ONLY complaint I can think of is that the sizing for these things is insane. They're definitely something you'd want to pick up from a store where you can try them on.

Plastic loops on the hips and price for the budget baller.
I got the Pinstripe LTD pants when they came out. Before this pair of pants I have never had a pair of pants with so much padding. After wearing them for the first time I realized they were worth every penny. I play both speedball and recball and haven't found a situation that these pants performed badly in. With these pants I am able to walk through anything on a recball field and not have to worry about getting scratched up or having my pants get damaged.
I say that if you can afford these pants go for it. They look great, feel great, offer supreme protection and can take a beating.

Good amount of padding
Hot in 80+ degree weather
Yeah, they're expensive, but they're great pants! If you're playing on hot days and your not a big slider, you might be better off getting something else.
If you play in weather under 80 degrees and you are concerned about protection/padding, these are your pants! You won't get any welts wearing these. They even have man padding... The padding around the knees is ideal, you can take a knee on hard/rocky surfaces and you won't need to wear knee pads underneath.
Oh, and if you need to synch up the velcro on the waist make sure to tuck the velcro strap under the belt loop, in order to make sure the whole strap is velcro'd. If not, they'll come undone while you play, and that's no fun. My pants fell off mid-sprint, not cool.
So for all intents and purposes, these pants do what they say they're supposed to do, so they get a 10.
Very nice, high quality pants. However, they can be a little heavy on hot days.
