JT’s exclusive“ dual-fusion” technology has helped us produce a revolutionary exoskeleton that can be found in our Flex-8™ system. This system offers integrated venting on the jaw which has also been strategically designed to encourage deflections and bounces. While the JT Spectra™ Flex-8™ offers a “smaller target” to your opponent than previous Spectra systems, the Flex-8™ goggle still maintains its ability to accept the Vortex II™ fan and other popular JT accessories. The full coverage model protects the top and the back of your head and may also be detached if necessary. All models come with a removable visor.

Review:
What's to say really, it pretty much is what it is.
The protection is good; Most of the time I dont even feel it when I get shot and I have to ask the player next to me if I was hit. Paint definitely doesn't exactly bounce off of it. Because of the amount of ventilation all of the mask, I think it actually grips some paintballs that on any other mask would have simply deflected. Sometimes I almost wish I didn't have a full head mask on... Then I think: 'no wait, eff that, I'm like a terminator right now...'
The JT Flex 8 Headshield offers protection at the cost of ventilation. That said, it is pretty well ventilated. I only have it fog up on me when I'm already in extremely humid conditions in the first place. Most of the time, my glasses fog up before the goggles do. The amount of sweat that collects in this mask is actually quite disgusting. If you keep moving, the ventilation works pretty well but when you stop - the hot air coming off your head has nowhere to go and you start to sweat quite a bit...
I have also put the little fan doohicky in my mask. When I first turned it on, I thought I had got totally ripped off. It seemed to do nothing and it looked cheap and tiny. I couldn't feel any air flow and it made a hell of a lot of noise. The reason I got the fan in the first place was to keep my glasses from fogging up. To my surprise, the fan actually did keep my glasses from fogging up! It's definitely not a 100% solution but 98% of the time it works great!
Conclusion:
The first game I used this mask, I got accidentally shot in the back of the head by my own team-mate from point blank range. The force of the impact gave me tunnel vision and I had to sit down. If I wasn't wearing this full head protection I probably would have had to go for stitches in the back of my head. Turns out the guy was shooting 330 fps... In my opinion, this thing pays for itself because of situations like that. The only thing is, that some other masks are just so much less sweaty and less likely to break every paintball that touches them.
If you are reading this review to see if I say "Youve got to get this mask" - I'm not going to. I will say this however: You have to ask yourself what you are looking for in a mask. Its definitely not a bad mask but how many times do you think you're actually going to need all this protection? - That said - wont you be glad you have a full head mask the one in 100 games you need it?
Conclusion - Obey the rules, dont shoot blindly, chrono your guns prior to playing and a product like this isn't necessary. Unfortunately, not everybody in the world plays like that...
