For the last 20 years PMI Premium paint has been the #1 selling paintball for a reason. Premium rarely breaks in your marker but is designed to break on impact.
Product Availability
The PMI Premium Paintballs are newer, so they should be commonly available.

32 Degrees Team colors
Marker Setup: ACI F4 Illustrator TP. 9oz CO2 tank, ACI Venturi bolt, 16" Smart Parts All American Barrel.
Recommended
Barrels:
Any Smart Parts All American barrel should be fine.
Strengths: Accurate, breaks on target well, and I've shot about 2500 of these so far and never had a single one break in the marker yet.
Weaknesses: Where I play they are kinda expensive. $20 for 500.
Conclusion: Some of the best paint out there. I highly reccomend these to anyone.

i have used brass eagle paint before, but since i bought my tippy, nothing but good lovin' and great tasting PMI for my pride and joy
Marker Setup: i have a tipp. M98 custom, with a 12oz tank and 14" stone cold II barrel.
Recommended
Barrels:
TASO Stone Cold II--14"
Strengths: it doesn't stink like B.E. does. its hot pink color really looks awesome...it really looks like pink as compared to the reddish/ugly color that brass eagle claims is pink. the PMI pballs break very well on other people...and not very much in your 'gun
Weaknesses: nothing that i can think of
Conclusion: its a great paintball coming from a high quality, world renowned company who makes some of the best stuff you can buy when it comes to paintball

I have used All Star,Marballizer,Team Color,Diablo Midnight,Blaze.
Marker Setup: Matrix, Impulse, Autococker, Custom 98, RT Pro.
Recommended
Barrels:
Freak and Bigshot
Strengths: This is a good brand of paintballs for the price. The shell thickest is just right. I am going to buy this brand for now on because they are pretty good for a high or low pressure gun.
Weaknesses: I wished I have used them early.
Conclusion: I would prefer to use thinner shell paintballs just for those long distance hit but since my main gun ( the matrix ) might break down on me and I would have to use a back up gun that is high pressure, this brand works great. Check it out for yourself. I can save about $20 if I buy this brand instead of those tourny paintballs. They are alittle bit better but not by much for this price.

Strengths: This paint is the best paint u can buy for the money....period. No other paint is such good quality for so cheap. I shot 1000 rounds through my gun with no breaks. You can now even find little boxes of 500 rounds at wal-mart and k-mart. (amazed me too)
Weaknesses: I really didnt notice anything other than that the shells r a little hard and may not break every once in a while.
Conclusion: Like i said, these r the best paintballs you can buy without spending a lot of money. So save yourself the extra 20 bucks and just go with this paint.

Big ball or any RPS balls
Marker Setup: none

Strengths: Very consistant with the shapes. Bought 2000 and not 1 ball was broken in the box. Very accurrate. Great distance. Fair price. 58.00 for 2000 at X-Fire. Good colors. (Get the blue and black) Easy to find, the paint is very visable.
Weaknesses: Broke a couple (2 out of 400) thats it
Conclusion: great balls. high quallity works great in a spyder xtra. would recommend them to anyone. only giving it a 9 because 4 balls broke (I hate it when that happens) Great balls!

Strengths: good paint
cheap(in price not quality)
round shape
very consistent
break on target at least 98%% of the time
dont break in barrel91 per case)
Weaknesses: they usually have dimpels in just about every ball (it doesnt usually affect performance)
you can get stuck with a bad batch
Conclusion: good high quality paint i would suggest buying if you want paint that doesnt screw up

Strengths: 16.00 for 500
breaks all the time, even at about 100'
all fills but white show up really well.
just as high quality as marbs
cheaper
the shell is harder to melt, doesn't get as sticky as old balls, seem to resist heat better.

Weaknesses: well, not mcuh, in my stock barrel(phantom) these balls are a little too small, but thats not there fault.
Conclusion: decent paint at low price, just make sure its less then a month old. any older and the paint=BE balls.

Strengths: This paint is very reasonably priced as paint goes and it shoots very straight 99.9%% of the time. Most colors make good marks and it breaks on impact, but can go through light brush quite easily.
Weaknesses: The white filled balls don't show that much when they break, but they work. What can I say?
Conclusion: Some of the best conventional paint I've used. Don't let this fool you, though. It's not at all bad quality. Use it with smart parts and custom products barrels.

Strengths: made by rps
shoot straight in medium bore barrels
nice thick fill
never break in your barrel (hard shell good thing)
cool looking
bounce off the sup air bunkers and you can hit people behind something else
cheap price
Weaknesses: hard shell,i hit someone once in the arm bare skin, leg, stomach, and finaly one broke on their shoulder. thats really all i can think of. they hurt when they dont break
Conclusion: this is a great paintball. they shoot straight and never break in your barrel. the one bad thing is the hard a** shell. other than that, they are a great paintball and id reccomend them to rec players and people on a low budget since they are cheap priced. i gave it a 9 because of the hard shell.

Strengths: good consistency
realatively straight flight
low ball breakage
good performance in the cold
low cost
Weaknesses: ugly colors, really ugly colors
Conclusion: Really good paint for the cost. You can get 500 for $14 at K-Mart. Don't look as cool and aren't quite as good as marbalizers, but they are 5 bucks cheaper.
