For the last 20 years PMI Premium paint has been the #1 selling paintball for a reason. Premium rarely breaks in your marker but is designed to break on impact.
Product Availability
The PMI Premium Paintballs are newer, so they should be commonly available.

Strengths:
Not one darn thing good....sorry.....but this paint sucks the big one!!
Weaknesses:
Barrel to paint match is impossible to determine with this paint. I'm a serious tourney player with a low pressure autococker and have fire almost all the thin shell paints..including the evil paintball and had no problems with them in my guna dn 14 inch boomstick. These balls though seemed to break every other ball. I check and even tried a different barrel that the paint seemed to fit well with the blow through test. Sadly though...I feel I wasted my money. Not one ball with even my largest barrel....( it's miked out at .692) coudl be fired with out a break. Gave it to several of my other team mates..( two with impulses..and even one with and Angel LCD) and they had the same results. this paint sucks for any speed ball game.
Conclusion:
You get what you pay for...I paind 55$ and got crap......I pay 80$ for inferno and everything is fine...so as far as this paint id concerned....give it to the rec and senario players that want a lot fo cheap assed paint for not a lot do cash....
Inferno, hellfire, and evil for this player from now on...no more cheap assed paint
First of all, i think i got a bad batch, i've heard too many good comments about this paint. But since i spent 55 bucks and got crap i'm gonna have to review it like crap.
Weaknesses:
I got this paint for this last christmas so it might be that they froze during shipping and this affected the ball. I'm not really sure, but one out of five is still breaking in my barrel. I've tried my stock shutter barrel and it isn't any better. When the balls don't break they fly crooked so it's been very dissapointing. I wish i could review this product good because rps is the best paintball company you can get. But i don't think premium is the way to go.
Conclusion:
All in all this paint sucked for me, and i'm out of 60 bucks. I would suggest not getting paint online in the winter i truly believe my paint froze and this affected it. If i were you though i would buy marbalizer, or allstar, which are both very good paint. Thankyou.
I've been using PMI premium for about three years. The only breaks I've had were caused by improper storage (one case was stored in a slightly humid room causing the balls to swell.) Also be careful ordering paint online, Don't have it shipped air freight. PMI Premium flies straight, marks well and is cheaper than most of the CRAP brands out there.
Weaknesses:
I got no complaints
Conclusion:
PMI premiums are guaged as a medium size paint, so they will work with with medium bore barrels. I shot a PMI Piranah STS G2, and they work well with the stock barrel. I see a lot of guys at our local field shooting them in Spyders and Autocockers, I've never heard anyone complain of faulty paint. All PMI paint is made by RPS (the people who brought us the Marbilizer) so that should tell you something about the quality that goes into it.
I have a Blue Spyder Shutter and have shot about 1500 PMI paintballs through it and didn't break one ball. Plus I only used PMI paintballs in my regular spyder before and never broke one either. They're just good paintballs. Period.
Weaknesses:
I haven't found a problem with them yet except the paintball shop I go to doesn't always have the color I want, but I'm not real worried about it.
Conclusion:
I have a Smart Parts All American Midnight Blue splashed barrel and they work great in it. I bought a case of Nitro Duck paint this past weekend for a scenario game and broke about 10 balls of about 1000. PMI just works much better.
These paintballs are excelent! The shell isn't too hard and it isn't too soft. They alwsays break on my targets and seldom brake in grass. The price is good and the paint is bright so you know you got the hit.
Weaknesses:
Not much, only 1 out of 150 or so breaks in the barrel for me.
Conclusion:
These paintballs work great in my Pro-Carbine w/ a dye alluminum barrel. I recomend these for anyone. The only paint better than these are marbalizers.
These are probably the best paintballs you can get for the price range. I have used thousands of these paintballs and have experienced few problems, I have broken very few, and have never had a complaint about the consistency or accuracy. They are priced nicely (about $40 a case), and ideal for the average rec. player. Any consistent problems with this paint might be because of a too small or large bore barrel.
Weaknesses:
I have no complaint other than the color selection. I think it would be nice to see a few new colors.
Conclusion:
Overall these paintballs are great for the average recreational player. They preform well and are affordably priced. There should be few problems with this paint and if there are be sure that the barrel is clean, and that the barrel is an appropriate bore size.
I'm just a full time recreational player who is looking for good paint at an affordable price, and I found the best out there. Since I'm writing a review for PMI paintballs, it's probably them. I just got back from paint-balling with my friends today, and I'm very pleased with PMI's paint. I didn't even have one ball break, and I was out for 4 hours! A very good paint for the rec. player on a low budget!
Weaknesses:
One bad thing that I can think of is that you can't buy them in that many different colors. I like to switch my colors around all the time, so I need a big selection of colors.
Another bad thing is that some of the paint I got today was very mis-shaped. It didn't effect my accuraccy that much, but then I have terrible accuraccy to start out with.
Conclusion:
All in all, I think this is a very good selection if you are looking for very cheap and reliable paint. If you are a rec. player, this paint's for you!
